Officine Marchetti S.p.A was born in Carrara, Italy in 1967 as mechanical workshop specialized in precision parts. Its brand entered the stone machinery market in 1974 after having developed important patents, which have led to to the production of Hydraulic equipments for cutting blocks into slabs, becoming a well known worldwide leader.

In 1996 Officine Marchetti began the production of CNC bridge milling and contouring machines for stone jobs and developed after a complete range of models up to the most complex Five\six axis machines. In 2008 Officine Marchetti in order to enlarge its range of machines gets an important share agreement with DUET company.

DUET was borne in 1996 in Pietrasanta- Tuscany through the effort of its owner, Antonio Tarabella, driven by a passion for stone machines. The company begins its activity producing Hydraulic lathes and immediately after, introduces the numerical control on the same machine becoming one of the first fabricators in the market for CNC lathes. In a short time DUET extended its range of machines with new models. In 2006 a particular patent was carried out for a machine dedicated to the automatic polishing of marble and granite turned objects such as vases and balustrades. With the advantage in production rate and elimination of the dust inside the marble workshops.

Machine design is done inside The Marchetti Group's technical department with mechanical and electronic engineers who develop new solutions and solve all the after sales service inquiries. Modern CAD programs let Marchetti customize the machine depending on the customer’s needs, while the F.E.M. (Finite Element Method) let's them size correctly the machine for the stresses they will have while working.

The Marchetti Group's machines are produced inside their workshop, where several computer controlled lathes and milling machines produce worked pieces with a high degree of accuracy and precision, thus ensuring the same accuracy and precision to the manufactured machines, together with reliability and long lasting life.
